Panel 1: B: “It must be much work, having a, uh- dog”
Muffin gnaws on Street Anthony’s arms.
StA: “I have many little torments, actually…”
Panel 2: Street Anthony shows off photos of his “torments”.
StA: “Muffin, Spud, Bran, Over-Easy, Crouton, Toast, Turnip, Grievance, Béchamel, and Chip!”
B: “good heavens”
Panel 3: Weevil and Blovis whisper to each other.
W: “Sire, I fear I must… catch ‘em all”
B: “ConTAIN thyself, Weevil!”
The character of Street Anthony is based entirely on a cool engraving I saw by Martin Schongauer in art history. Engraving was cool! Carried a lot of the same considerations for line weight and value you see in the best comics of the modern day. LOVE Albrecht Durer's engravings.
